Trevor Sanipass is Mi’kmaq First Nations belonging to a community called Eskasoni but currently resides in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. He is a direct descendant of the last hereditary Grand Chief John Denny Jr.
He is a motivational speaker, a champion of diversity & a role model for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
He is a member of a long list of committees, including Human Rights Facilitator and Aboriginal Perceptions facilitator called “L’nu’way” for Department of Justice. He is a member of the “Treaty Education Speaker’s Bureau”and is a new member of the Union of Nova Scotia Indians Justice Committee Representative for the Tripartite Forum.
He is a champion arm wrestler who placed 8th in the World and was an associate producer and consultant for a television series called “Arm Nation”.
He has received two (2) Minister of Justice Awards, “Exceptional Contributions to Corrections” and a limited-edition pin from the House of Commons for his commitment and support to Indigenous people and youth.
He speaks in high schools, Universities, and Colleges. He goes around and shares his culture, knowledge, and wisdom to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities throughout the Atlantic Provinces.
